The webshop has been completely integrated with the physical stores. Service is a top priority at Børnenes Kartel. It is important for customers to be able to come to the store and see and touch the products. These are products for their children, so parents need to ensure the quality. However, the stores cannot have all items in all colors and sizes in stock at all times. Fortunately, this does not mean that parents leave empty-handed when they visit the store. It is now easy for the store to order items for home delivery to the parents, sometimes even on the same day. It is also easy to create click-and-collect orders.
Ready to handle growth
The new solution is also a strong foundation for Børnenes Kartel's future plans. The webshop is built in a way that makes it easy to expand with more countries, products, and stores. The shop is built on a completely scalable foundation, making it simple to create new products, additional language layers, or new brand pages in foreign countries for example. The goal has been to remove some of the challenges that easily arise in a growing business and instead make expansion as simple as possible.
Thousands of products require capable systems
Børnenes Kartel has one of Denmark's largest assortments of toys and items for children's rooms. And the prices on everything are updated five times a week. This requires strong systems that help minimize the many potential sources of error. Therefore, Børnenes Kartel uses Bizzkit PIM to ensure that their product information is well managed. The system has no problems handling many different product types and data volumes. Additionally, it automatically alerts about missing product information, making it easy for employees to correct the products.
Better order management creates more time for customers
The new webshop not only provides benefits for customers but also for the employees at Børnenes Kartel. For example, it has become much simpler for store employees to order goods from the central warehouse to the store. What used to be a time-consuming process involving phone calls, post-its, and hand scanners has now become a simple workflow that only requires a few clicks in the webshop. This creates time and space to provide better service in the store and spend time on tasks that offer greater value to customers.
Shortly after our new shop went online, the first click-n-collect order was ready in Aalborg. We had not yet announced the new shop or the new feature. Customers simply think it makes sense and that it is excellent service. It has been a huge success from day one.”
